Lyman Good vs. Belal Muhammad Added to UFC 205 Lineup

According to a report from Newsday on Friday afternoon, a welterweight clash between Lyman Good and Belal Muhammad has been tacked onto the massive UFC 205event on Nov. 12 at the legendary Madison Square Garden.

Good, who was raised in Spanish Harlem, will add some extra local flavor to the event, which will mark the promotion’s first one in the Empire State since MMA was legalized there. Good was the inaugural Bellator welterweight champion and fought for that company several times before moving over to CFFC, where he won that promotion’s 170-pound title.

Good made his UFC debut in July 2015 at UFC Fight Night “Mir vs. Duffee,” where he filled in on late notice to fight Andrew Craig, whom he dispatched via punches in the second. He has been inactive since that victory.

Muhammad recently got back in the win column when he toppled Augusto Montano at UFC Fight Night 94. “Remember the Name” won via third-round knockout, which allowed him to bounce back to a decision loss to Alan Jouban in his promotional debut in July.

The UFC also unveiled on Friday that Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her women’s strawweight title against Karolina Kowalkiewicz and former women’s bantamweight champ Miesha Tate will make her return to the Octagon against Raquel Pennington.

The UFC is expected to announced the finalized card next Tuesday at a press conference.
