BAMMA 29 Weigh-in Results: Both Title Bouts Given Green Light
BAMMA,
one of the U.K.’s biggest and best MMA promotions, is set to invade
The Shooters Bar in Birmingham, England, Saturday night with a pair
of championship bouts. The official weigh-ins for
BAMMA 29 went off without a hitch as the card was given the
expected green light.
Headlining the marquee is the vacant heavyweight championship between Brett McDermott and Ruben Wolf. Though neither man needed to drop considerable weight to make a division’s limit, they both looked solid on the scale as they weighed in. “The Spartan” McDermott was the lighter of the two as he came in officially ay 233.2 pounds. Wolf was nearly a dozen pounds bulkier; “The Viking” checked in at 245 pounds.
The co-feature will see the vacant BAMMA middleweight title up for
grabs as Yannick
Bahati will stand opposite Matt “Farmerboy” Hallam for the
crown. Bahati stepped to the scale and nailed it; “Black Mamba”
weighed 184.6 pounds. Hallam came in a few ounces lighter at 184.2
pounds.
