Dana White: Chances of Brock Lesnar Fighting in UFC Again Are ‘Very, Very, Very Good’

Perhaps the picture of UFC President Dana White and former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar taken recently was more than just a publicity stunt.

Lesnar was in Las Vegas for the WWE’s Elimination Chamber event over the weekend and he posed for a picture with White — a Vegas resident — during his visit. White appeared on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio on Tuesday with Kevin Harvick and was asked about the odds of a Lesnar return to the UFC.

“They’re very, very, very good,” White said.

There has been plenty of talk surrounding Lesnar as his current contract with World Wrestling Entertainment nears its end. Of course, Lesnar is still under suspension for failing a USADA drug test in relation to UFC 200. Lesnar announced his retirement approximately one year ago, but he would still have to fulfill the remaining six months of that sanction before he could fight again.

Meanwhile, manager Paul Heyman recently told TMZ Sports that the time away from the Octagon could do Lesnar some good.

“The time away actually makes him better because his body gets a chance to heal,” Heyman said. “The problem with these UFC fighters, and they’re all fantastic athletes, top of the line in the entire world, is that they wear their bodies down in these training camps. All these guys that are cutting weight are just destroying their own bodies. Brock Lesnar is probably the healthiest fighter to enter UFC if he decides to do that.”

In an earlier interview with TMZ Sports, White said he’d like to see Lesnar back with the UFC. That’s no surprise, considering Lesnar’s presence on the UFC 200 card was a big reason why it was able to reportedly draw more than 1 million pay-per-view buys. Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt via unanimous decision, but that result was ultimately overturned to a no contest due to the failed drug test.

“Yeah, I’d like to see him come back,” White told TMZ. “Brock’s been fun. When Brock Lesnar won the championship, it was fun.”

The 40-year-old Lesnar is scheduled to appear at Wrestlemania in April.
