Jimmie Rivera: Marlon Moraes is Going to Get Punished for Manager’s Trash Talk
An interesting bantamweight fight will take place as part of the main event of UFC Fight Night 131 on June 1 at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York, between Jimmie Rivera and Marlon Moraes.
Rivera (21-1) was scheduled to meet Dominick Cruz on Dec. 30, at UFC 219, although Cruz had to withdraw due to injury and was replaced by John Lineker. Lineker then withdrew from the fight due to a tooth infection, which is when the UFC held talks to bring in Moraes. The fight never came to fruition and Rivera ended up not competing at the event.

“It’s his manager who I [expletive] hate. His manager’s a douchebag, called my wife a [expletive] when we were in Las Vegas. I think a lot of the things he says and does are from his manager. I have a lot of grudge against his manager, and his manager represents Marlon, and I’m going to take it out on Marlon.”
Abdelaziz has denied any wrong doing and said the comments were directed towards Rivera and not his wife during their heated clash in Las Vegas.
“I don’t respect him as a person, because I think he was doing everything he could not to fight Marlon,” Abdelaziz said. “But at the end of the day, I got what Marlon wanted. Marlon wanted this fight, and the reason Marlon wanted this fight is Rivera is one of the best fighters in the world.
“If Jimmie Rivera has something to say to me, then he can say it to my face,” declared Abdelaziz.
