T.J. Dillashaw Believes that Demetrious Johnson is Ducking Him

Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight king T.J. Dillashaw has been very vocal about 125-pound ace Demetrious Johnson. In Dillashaw’s opinion, “Mighty Mouse” has been avoiding him since early 2017, when UFC President Dana White started to talk about the potential superfight.

Johnson was never really on board, and this led to White threatening to shut down the entire flyweight division. In a recent interview, Dillashaw claimed to TMZ Sports that the UFC flyweight champion is ducking him because he’s afraid of a true challenge.

“It was a fight that already made sense. The fans wanted it. I wanted it. The UFC wanted it. It’s all about him manning up and accepting the challenge. He’s got a target on his back. I respect the guy as a fighter. I respect him as a man, but it’s time to man up and get this thing done.”

Johnson is scheduled to defend his flyweight strip against Henry Cejudo, while Dillashaw will meet Cody Garbrandt once again as he defends his bantamweight title in the main event at UFC 227 on Aug. 4 in Los Angeles.
