Promotion officials announced the light heavyweight pairing on Wednesday. Three other matchups were recently confirmed for the event: Thiago Alves vs. Alexey Kunchenko, Merab Dvalishvili vs. Terrion Ware and Kyrzysztof Jotko vs. Adam Yandiev.

UFC Fight Night 136 takes place at Olympic Stadium in Moscow on Sept. 15 and is headlined by a heavyweight duel pitting Mark Hunt against Alexey Oleynik. The card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.

Krylov has won four in row since parting ways with the UFC on the heels of a first-round submission loss to Misha Cirkunov in December 2016. The 26-year-old Ukrainian went 6-3 within the Las Vegas-based promotion, with all of his triumphs coming inside two rounds. “The Minor” is coming off back-to-back knockouts of UFC veteran Fabio Maldonado and ex-Bellator champion Emanuel Newton under the Fight Nights Global banner.

Blachowicz has established himself as a Top 10 light heavyweight during his current three-fight winning streak. Most recently, the 35-year-old Poland native took a unanimous decision over Jimi Manuwa in a rematch at UFC Fight Night 127 on March 17. The KSW veteran is 5-4 in the promotion and 22-7 as a professional overall.
