Daniel Cormier Sends Message to Brock Lesnar Following Defeat at WWE’s SummerSlam
Daniel Cormier doesn’t hide the fact that he’s a professional wrestling fan, and he had even more incentive than usual to watch WWE’s SummerSlam on Sunday night.

The result should not be surprising, as Lesnar is expected to return to the UFC and challenge Cormier for the heavyweight belt sometime in 2019. The two men had a confrontation in the Octagon following Cormier’s triumph over Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 in July.
“DC” sent a message to Lesnar on Sunday night, predicting a similar
result when they square off in the Las Vegas-based promotion.
“No more title, now he can come and chase mine,” Cormier wrote on Twitter. “Sorry [Brock Lesnar], result will be the same.”

Cormier also commented on Lesnar’s physique, which is generally more massive in the sports entertainment realm. “DC” seemed to believe that Lesnar is already preparing for the cut to 265 pounds in the UFC.
“Old Brock is getting smaller in the middle. He getting ready to really come and get that ass whipped!!!” Cormier wrote. “Have fun in this [WWE] title match because when we clash I’m in that ass!!!”

There is currently no date set for Cormier vs. Lesnar, though it is expected to take place early next year once the WWE star re-enters the USADA drug testing pool and fulfills his previous sanction. Lesnar hasn’t competed since UFC 200, when he defeated Mark Hunt via unanimous decision but had the result overturned to a no contest after testing positive for a banned substance.
