Both strawweights recently posted photo updates of their health following the encounter. Aldana said she might have suffered a broken hand in victory.
“I cannot write much but I want to thank everyone for their
messages!” Aldana wrote. “My eye is fine, it only has a scratch
from a [poke] in the last round. My hand, if it broke from the
first round, I hope to be back soon.”
While Pudilova was marked up, she claims to have emerged from UFC 228 injury free.
“Hi! What a fight. I’m totally fine, no bones broken,” Pudilova wrote. “Big thanks to all my fans for the incredible support and all the nice messages which I got from you guys! [That makes] me even more stronger! Especially huge thanks to [Dana White] that he gave me a chance to fight at UFC 228. And the biggest thanks to my coach Láďa E. . I will be back soon and even stronger!”
Mexico’s Aldana has won two straight in the Octagon after beginning her promotional tenure with back-to-back defeats. Pudilova, who hails from the Czech Republic, saw a two-bout UFC winning streak come to an end.
