Armen Petrosyan already thinking about Israel Adesanya after earning UFC deal on DWCS 44

LAS VEGAS – Armen Petrosyan is not short of confidence after landing a highlight-reel finish at Dana White’s Contender Series 44.

Petrosyan (6-1) was able to fend off Kaloyan Kolev’s heavy grappling approach and knock him out with a brutal head kick that rendered him unconscious at the end of Round 1. The finish had Dana White on his feet and earned the Armenian a UFC contract Tuesday.

A kickboxing and muay Thai world champion, Petrosyan is already thinking of the big picture and has UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya on his mind.

“Armen is ready to fight against everybody,” Petrosyan’s coach said during the DWCS 44 post-fight news conference. “His wrestling is good, his wrestling defense is good, and he wants to beat Adesanya, and he’s ready to beat Adesanya. Russian muay Thai want this fight.”
