Dana White slipped in a bombshell announcement during a "scrum" with reporters after Saturday's post-event news conference in Los Angeles.
While answering a question about B.J. Penn and Rory MacDonald agreeing to pre-fight drug testing through the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), White dropped the surprise, saying, "It's not going to happen -Rory's out."
MacDonald brought Penn out of retirement for the fight, which was scheduled for Sept. 22 at UFC 152 in Toronto. But the next battle apparently will be for when and where the fight is rebooked.

LOS ANGELES -A major cut suffered in training that required several stitches will keep Rory MacDonald from a highly anticipated welterweight fight against B.J. Penn at UFC 152 next month.
UFC President Dana White on Saturday told MMAjunkie.com of the injury following Saturday's post-event news conference for UFC on FOX 4, which took place at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
MacDonald and Penn had been booked for the main card of UFC 152, which is set for Sept. 22 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

LOS ANGELES - According to UFC president Dana White, former dual-division champion B.J. Penn will one day be in the UFC Hall of Fame.
"I love B.J.," White on Thursday said. "B.J. has been a huge star for us for a long time. I think B.J. could be up in there in the talks of 'Who is the greatest of all-time.'"
But that doesn't mean he thinks "The Prodigy" has fully delivered on his potential as a mixed martial artist. The two share a long, contentious past about the topic.

UFC president Dana White said he won't stand in the way of B.J. Penn and Rory MacDonald's enrollment with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).
Despite the fact that a positive pre-event drug test could cast a cloud over their fight at UFC 152, White said the decision was "their business."
"B.J. wants to go drug test every friggin' two days, good for him," White on Thursday told MMAjunkie.com. "Knock yourself out."

VADA officials on Thursday announced that both fighters have agreed to
eight weeks of random blood and urine testing ahead of their upcoming
UFC 152 matchup with the Las Vegas-based independent organization

B.J. Penn recently announced the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) has offered to sponsor him for his UFC 152 fight with Rory MacDonald.
The sponsorship included independent VADA drug testing of both competitors, which Penn accepted and hoped would help start the process of cleaning up the sport.
However, as MMAjunkie.com medical columnist Dr. Johnny Benjamin explains in the latest installment of "Ask the Fight Doc," he hopes VADA's unwillingness to release the drug-testing results until after the event doesn't deter Penn.

A light heavyweight bout between Nick Penner and Tom DeBlass has been scratched from the lineup at UFC on FUEL TV 4.
An injury to Penner forced him off the card, and UFC officials elected to scrap the fight altogether. "UFC Tonight," FUEL TV's weekly UFC news magazine show, announced the news Tuesday night.
