"UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" takes place Dec. 29 at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena and features a heavyweight title fight between champion Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez.
Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public Friday at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT local time) and are available at the MGM Grand box office and Ticketmaster locations.

"UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II" official for Dec. 29 at MGM Grand in Las VegasOctober 19, 2012 (21:30) [ Indexed from MMAjunkie ] The UFC's annual year-end card in Las Vegas is set for Dec. 29 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The long-talked about event was made official by the UFC on Friday for the date and location that previously had been reported by MMAjunkie.com. Though the event number and date were known, the MGM Grand location had not been made formal until Friday, nor had the main event.
Headlining the card, as expected, is a title fight between heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos meets ex-titleholder Cain Velasquez in the pay-per-view's main event.

The winner between heavyweight champion Dos Santos and Velasquez will face former No. 1 contender Alistair Overeem, perhaps as early as March or April.
UFC President Dana White laid out the still very loose plan early Sunday following the post-event news conference for UFC 153, which took place in Rio de Janeiro.

Cain Velasquez hosts UFC Fight Club Q&A session prior to UFC 152 weigh-insSeptember 12, 2012 (23:30) [ Indexed from MMAjunkie ] Former UFC heavyweight champion and current top contender Cain Velasquez will host a special question-and-answer session for UFC Fight Club members prior to weigh-ins for UFC 152.
UFC officials on Wednesday announced the session, which takes place Sept. 21 at Toronto's Mattamy Athletic Centre at The Gardens, formerly Maple Leaf Gardens.
Doors for the event open for UFC Fight Club members at 1 p.m. ET. The fan Q&A session begins one hour later at 2 p.m. and is followed by the official weigh-ins for UFC 152 at 4 p.m.

Dos Santos, the UFC's heavyweight champion, is expected to next defend his title Dec. 29 at the promotion's year-end pay-per-view in Las Vegas. UFC President Dana White late Saturday confirmed the planned matchup following the post-event news conference for UFC 150 in Denver.
While the UFC's traditional year-end show has not yet been announced, the heavyweight title tilt will headline what is likely to be UFC 155 at either the MGM Grand Garden Arena or Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Velasquez thinks UFC champ Dos Santos getting caught up in Overeem's trash talkAugust 08, 2012 (15:30) [ Indexed from MMAjunkie ] Cain Velasquez thinks UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos is getting too caught up in Alistair Overeem's trash talk and should focus on other things - like fighting him.
"As a champion, you really can't pick and choose who you fight," Velasquez told MMAjunkie.com. "You're supposed to fight the No. 1 contender."
Velasquez and his camp now wait to hear from the UFC on whether he'll fight Dos Santos, as he was earlier told.

UFC President Dana White today revealed that at a recent meeting, Dos Santos informed him that he would prefer to face Alistair Overeem rather than Velasquez.
"I sat down with Junior Dos Santos," White said. "He said,
'I have nothing but respect for Cain Velasquez. I like him as a person
and as a fighter, and I think he deserves the shot at the title. But I
do not want to fight him.'"
